Vera Vides is a wine made to express best the fruit character of the area, rather than a heavy wine with strong new oak flavour. Largely old-vine Tempranillo, co-fermented with a small quantity of Garnacha, Bobal and Albillo to help round out the flavour. Fermentation is made without additions, using the native yeast from the grapes and ageing is done in neutral oak to preserve the delicious fruit flavours.
Deep in colour, with alluring violet, black cherry and blueberry aromas. In contrast to the often blocky and tannic wines from Ribera, this is silky and juicy, with bright red berry acidity that keeps you coming back for another glass. Full in flavour, with black plum and blueberry fruit and a warm, earthy minerality. A real delight that would pair equally well with a lasagna or a rib-eye steak.
